Ground transfers arranged alongside your flight, confirmed by the provider.

Ask for a chauffeur or another ground transfer from your home, office or hotel to the departure terminal. Where that service exists locally, the selected broker can arrange it through an independent provider. Vehicle category, pickup time, routing, baggage capacity, accessibility, passenger assistance and where you are met at the airport are then confirmed in writing by that provider, subject to its availability and its own contractual terms.

Private terminals and FBO access, where those facilities exist.

Where a private terminal or FBO is available, departure is generally calmer and more discreet, with far less time spent in the public areas of the airport. Flag what matters to you early: passenger processing, vehicle access, lounges, privacy. The selected broker can then raise it with the proposed operator, the handling agent and the providers involved. The final arrangements remain subject to the rules of the airport, the relevant authorities and the facility itself.

Cabin features matched to the proposed aircraft, then confirmed with the operator.

Seating, cabin layout, connectivity, catering and other onboard preferences shape which aircraft make sense for a given journey. Spell out what really affects comfort, work, baggage or accessibility, so that Broker Partners can put forward aircraft that fit those needs. The selected broker then confirms the actual cabin configuration and onboard services with the proposed operator and its providers for that specific mission.

Departure times and airports built around your trip, within operational limits.

When scheduled services do not fit the journey, private aviation opens other options: a closer airport, a departure time that suits you, several stops in one day. Which of them are possible depends on the mission as a whole: aircraft position, airport opening hours, crew duty limits, permits, slots, weather and passenger documentation. Each proposal sets out the route, airports and timing assessed as workable for that flight.

Private aviation services for every type of journey.

Each private aviation category has its own page, covering the aircraft options, the typical use cases and the points worth checking before you book. Business and family travel, medical transport, short-haul air taxi, helicopter transfers, flights with pets, aircraft comparisons, empty leg opportunities: vetted Broker Partners may draw on their operator relationships and sector experience to prepare proposals suited to your request.

One request for every type of private aviation journey.

Private aviation covers very different journeys, each with its own operational requirements, aircraft categories and regulatory questions. You submit one request through the IONA JETS Platform, and the Broker Partners who take it up assess which aircraft and operator profiles may suit your route, dates and passengers. The options presented depend on broker participation, aircraft availability, airport constraints and mission feasibility, and can range from light aircraft for shorter regional journeys to long-range jets for intercontinental travel.

  • Business and corporate travel: Broker Partners may put forward flights built around a tight schedule, a private cabin for sensitive conversations, a multi-city itinerary or a corporate travel policy. Cabin configuration, departure flexibility and airport access follow from the operator, aircraft and route on offer. Once you select a proposal, the selected broker can coordinate cabin requirements, catering preferences, ground transportation, passenger manifests, onboard connectivity and the rest of the trip, as far as availability and confirmations allow.
  • Leisure, family and specialty flights: Private aviation may mean departure times you choose, medical transport, routes to regional or resort airports, a helicopter connection or a pet in the cabin. Each of these depends on the aircraft proposed, the operator's capabilities, documentation and local regulations, including the conditions that apply to pets, medical equipment, baggage and onward transfers. The Broker Partners who respond weigh what the journey actually requires and set out their options in your Client Portal, with the key conditions attached to each one.
  • Cost-conscious options: For shorter regional journeys, an air taxi on a light jet or turboprop may be an efficient alternative. Empty leg flights are sometimes offered below the price of a fully customized charter, but their routes and schedules are fixed, availability is not guaranteed, and they may change or be withdrawn if the underlying aircraft movement is rescheduled. Broker Partners may also match the aircraft category to the actual passenger count, route distance and airport requirements, so you are not paying for cabin capacity or range you do not need.

From your request to your departure: how private jet charter works through the Platform.

Send your journey details through the online request form. Broker Partners may then prepare proposals and make them available in your Client Portal. Read each one closely: the aircraft, the scope, the price, the assumptions, what is excluded and who the contractual parties are. Select one, and that broker takes over the remaining confirmations with the proposed operator and the providers involved. Personal data is processed and shared as described in the Privacy Policy and according to the actions taken through the Platform.

  • Aircraft guide: Compare light, midsize, super-midsize, heavy and ultra-long-range aircraft by range, cabin size, passenger capacity and runway requirements. Each category answers a different operational need, though what actually fits depends on the route, airport conditions, passenger load, baggage, runway performance and operator limitations. Brokers may recommend a category within their proposals; once you select one, the selected broker confirms availability, operational detail and final suitability with the proposed operator.
  • Empty leg opportunities**: When an aircraft is scheduled to fly without passengers, that repositioning flight may sometimes be offered at a reduced price. Because that flight exists to reposition the aircraft, its route, departure time and aircraft type are already set, which leaves little room for changes; the opportunity may also be revised or withdrawn if the underlying movement shifts. A broker may find one that matches your preferred route and dates, then set out the schedule, baggage and passenger-capacity limits attached to it, but availability, price and continuity are not guaranteed.
  • Complementary services: Alongside the flight, the selected broker may coordinate helicopter connections, chauffeur transfers, VIP terminal access, airport lounges, fast-track security, cabin personalization, tailored catering and security services, where local providers offer them. Meet-and-assist support, specialized baggage handling or transfers at destination may be added, depending on the journey. The provider, scope, price and availability of each service are confirmed during the booking process and may vary by airport, country and local operating conditions.

Frequently asked questions about private jet charter flights.

Planning a private flight, or looking at private jet charter for the first time? The answers below cover how requests, proposals, pricing, itinerary changes and operator due diligence work through the IONA JETS Platform and its broker network, and what happens once you have selected a proposal.

Private jet charter pricing depends on the aircraft category, route, flight time, airport and handling charges, aircraft positioning, crew requirements and any additional services. Broker Partners consult their operator networks and price the request against the conditions that apply to your route and dates. Any proposals received can be compared side by side in your Client Portal, though the number of proposals and their terms are not guaranteed. For a detailed explanation of the main pricing factors and aircraft categories, see our private jet cost guide.

A private jet flight can sometimes be arranged within a few hours, but the lead time depends on aircraft positioning, crew availability, permits, airport requirements, payment, passenger documentation and how complex the mission is. An aircraft already positioned near the departure airport may shorten preparation, though no specific turnaround is guaranteed. Once you select a proposal, the selected broker coordinates the remaining arrangements and keeps you updated through the Client Portal and directly.

The selected broker may ask the operator to adjust a departure time, destination or stop, subject to the operator's acceptance, airport slots, crew duty limits, permits and aircraft availability. A change may affect the price or call for revised handling, permits, crew positioning, passenger documentation or other arrangements, and some changes may not be operationally possible at short notice. Before anything is confirmed, the selected broker explains the operational and financial implications, obtains the necessary confirmations and provides any revised documentation.

IONA JETS reviews and verifies Broker Partners before they join the network. For each request, the selected broker is responsible for sourcing and conducting due diligence on the proposed aircraft operator. That review may cover the required operating certificates and authorizations, insurance coverage, crew qualifications, maintenance information and mission-specific requirements. Independent programs such as IS-BAO, Wyvern Wingman and ARGUS may add information on business aviation operators, while IOSA may be relevant to airline operations. Whether any audit program applies depends on the proposed operator and the mission. Read more on our safety and compliance page.

IONA JETS acts solely as a Swiss digital referral platform connecting clients with independent air charter brokers for private aviation requests. IONA JETS is not a charter broker, air carrier or aircraft operator, does not hold an Air Operator Certificate and does not operate flights. IONA JETS reviews and verifies broker partners before they join its network, but it does not directly source, select or verify individual aircraft operators. Operator sourcing and the checks the selected broker applies to the proposed operator fall within that broker's own responsibility and procedures. IONA JETS does not supervise those checks. The descriptions on this page are general and reflect services commonly available in private aviation; they do not guarantee that a particular aircraft, configuration, route, schedule, ancillary service or feature will be available for any specific request. All services remain subject to broker participation, aircraft and provider availability, operational constraints, airport requirements, applicable regulations and confirmation during the booking process. Any transport-related obligations and liabilities rest with the contractual party or parties identified in the booking documentation, which may include the selected broker, the aircraft operator or another identified entity. (2) The number of proposals received and their terms depend on broker participation, mission feasibility, aircraft availability and market conditions and are not guaranteed. (3) IONA JETS is remunerated by partner brokers when a referred request results in a confirmed booking. Clients using the standard referral service are not charged a platform fee by IONA JETS, and submitting a request does not commit them to booking a flight. *Cashback is available only on bookings that meet the applicable program conditions. **Empty leg availability, routing, timing, aircraft type and pricing depend on the underlying aircraft movement and operator confirmation. Empty leg opportunities are not guaranteed and may change or be withdrawn at any time.
